Title: UX/UI Designer * WPF/Silverlight Location: Herndon, VA Description Celcite Management Solutions provides wireless consulting services & customized network performance tools to wireless operators throughout the world. We are recruiting an experienced User Experience Designer to work on an innovative application which delivers intelligence and drives the optimization and improvement of wireless networks. Key Responsibilities Successful candidates will participate in the complete Agile software development life cycle. They will be responsible for designing user interfaces for our next-generation, rich client applications. Use experience, research, and analysis to solve complex UX design problems with elegant solutions. Adapt creative styles as needed while maintaining creative, technical, and brand standards universally. Collaborate with product management and engineering throughout the product lifecycle to actively plan, problem-solve, and ensure successful launch of services. Maintain active knowledge of and implement user-centric design best practices. Contribute to the evolution and strategy of company design policies and practices as they apply to the implementation of standards, interaction, color, typography, artwork, and all other visual/interactive expressions of the user experience. Education & Experience Required Skills 5+ years total UX/UI design experience. 2+ years of expert level experience with Microsoft Expression Design and Expression Blend creating user interfaces for WPF and/or Silverlight applications. Expertise in visual design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Demonstrable skill creating WPF/Silverlight XAML user interfaces in Blend, including deep knowledge of control templates, style triggers, vector icons and brushes and familiarity with resource dictionaries and data binding. Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate concepts and ideas through wireframes, simulations and prototypes. In depth knowledge of User Interface design principles, Human Factors, User-centred Design Processes, Interaction Design guidelines, usability testing methodologies. Demonstrated ability to self-direct work efforts, meet deadlines, and produce consistent high-quality work. Formal education in graphic design, user experience design, human-computer interaction, interaction design, or related field. A Bachelor degree is preferred.
