*** PLEASE NO INQUIRES FROM RECRUITERS OR AGENCIES *** Job Description: A Financial Services Firm has an immediate need Technical Business System Analyst who will assist in the understanding and defining of the business and data requirements, design of data models, warehousing architecture and data/system solution architecture. This group supports commercial lending products for a Bank, deposits, trade finance and money market deposits. Experience with these financial products, or, other groups within financial services are required for this role. S/He must possess a broad and deep understanding of challenges with data management in large enterprises, design and delivery experience in full lifecycle of data (sourcing from multiple source systems using ETL, defining data quality, constructing and implementing data quality rules, logical and physical data modeling, and analysis of loading into data warehouse). This is a Long Term Contract Assignment. Purpose and Key Responsibilities: Responsible for writing functional and technical specifications with details to the smallest level including data mapping, creating wireframes, screenshots, creating analytics flows, UML diagrams like data flow diagram, process flow diagrams, and use cases. Participate in Functional Requirements review and TSD (Technical System Design) and DD (Data Dictionary) documentation creation. Create DFD (Data Flow Diagrams), Planned and documented procedures for data processing and prepared and create DFD (Data Flow Diagrams) and DSD (Data Structure Diagrams) and programs specifications. Performed Data Gap Analysis in current data warehouse with respect to the product level data requirements for driven Credit Rating/Credit Exposure Data Warehouse Analyzed and identified enterprise level non-transactional entities (and related attributes) such as customer, employee, vendor, products, ratings, GLs/GL mappings, accounts and custodians in order to implement master data management (MDM) solutions Created logical database models (tables, indexes, sequences, and constraints) to normalize discrepant layouts and house all the data from various sources and created functional and technical specifications for the ETL load and validation rules and source-to-target mappings Developed large data load & data extracts process to load and distribute daily trades (transactions/securities) & client/mandate/portfolio data Design, Built & Delivered the Custom ETL/data migration platform for migrating the large volume of Entitlement & Services Data using SQL, and SQL*LOADER Develops and recommends best practice data architecture, maintenance, and process to create an enterprise data repository assuring the integrity, quality and timeliness of data stores. Provide direction and aligns data architecture and design in adopting new technologies and developing new business solutions and strategies. Partner with others to coordinate the data architecture design for projects including peer reviews and support architecture process activities, architecture impact analysis Produce data governance policies and handover artifacts (technical and support documentation) as well as train support staff on the new system components Knowledge and Experience Required: 7+ years of experience working as a Technical Business Systems Analyst and/or Data Architect with a high level of competence and understanding of Erwin and E/R Diagrams Advance Knowledge of Data Management and Data Warehouse development and maintenance lifecycle and methodology is required Experience in gathering and documenting business and data requirements with business requirements (BRDs), data flow diagrams (DFDs) and high-level functional designs Develop robust business requirements documents defining gaps with key attention to complex areas and consideration to architecture and design considerations. Developed technical specifications to develop ETL mappings, workflows, sessions, and processes Extensively involved in Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL process) from Source to target systems Very strong database concepts and in-depth knowledge of relational data structures / models / relationships. Knowledge of systems, application architecture, data warehouse architecture, data profiling (discovery, mapping, definitions), and data analysis Participate in architecture and design activities to ensure data model (conceptual, physical, and logical) and detailed design developed is in line with business needs.
