DESCRIPTION: This role is a global data governance position responsible for strategy, procedures, implementation, standardization, continuous improvement, and oversight of the finance and vendor master data processes in particular to SAP. The role has direct interaction with business divisions, business technology colleagues and shared service team members and is a core role in ensuring consistent data parameters. This role requires an understanding of master data standard processes, shared services operations, SAP process automation and systems and financial controls as related to master data requirements. A thorough understanding of existing ERP technology is an important capability. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Manager of FDM to ensure process consistency; Responsibility for implementing and optimizing master data compliance; Ensure alignment with overall business goals and standard operating procedures; Ensure global data adheres to type definition; Has authority to prioritize/approve changes to master data based on type and business case; Provide ongoing communication to key stakeholders; Ensure ongoing process improvement; Oversee and ensure standards are met: in regards to data, systems security, financial controls, change management and process excellence; Collaborate with SAP end users to address master data issues; Collaborate with all business divisions to drive consistent master data parameters. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree required; Minimum 3 years experience in finance, IT, or shared services operations preferred; Minimum 2 years ERP experience preferred; Good understanding of the SAP global business model preferred; Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Computron) preferred; Strong written/oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in teams; Change management skills.
