Test Engineer Mayfield Heights, OH SDI is looking for a Test Engineer for a 12 months contract for our client located in Mayfield Heights, OH. This position will involve functional test development and execution activities, using both automated test tools for ViewE. The scope of work is generally focused on software test engineering tasks to ensure quality software and documentation for other testers are developed. The position requires working with a project lead and other test engineers to develop a test bed that can be used for evaluating several client products. ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES Functional: Good knowledge of software test engineering methods and tools. Ability to debug complex issues and perform non-systematic testing to determine the root cause of issues. Ability to work independently with little supervision, and to prioritize and execute multiple activities in parallel. Ensure documented test cases and specifications validate documented testware requirements. Utilize automated test tools and methods to develop this new testware.
