An exciting interim position has arisen within this FTSE 100 to fill a 6 month maternity leave. Reporting to the External Relations Manager, the role holder will help manage the development and execution of external stakeholder engagement initiatives for the UK and International stakeholder audiences. The company has seen rapid expansion and growth over the last 10 years and the External Relations Team is responsible for identifying and managing political and social risk and leveraging opportunities to increase awareness of reputation among governments, communities and partners in the oil and gas industry. The Candidate Is a team player who can adapt to a fast-paced and constantly changing working environment. You will be able to hit the ground running and have the confidence and expertise to manage sometimes complex issues and relationships. Key attributes of the External Relations Advisor are: Significant experience working in external stakeholder engagement or corporate comms including experience in the oil and gas industry Excellent written and verbal communications Detailed understanding and experience of stakeholder mapping and management Clear understanding of key stakeholder groups within the oil and gas industry Excellent project management skills Key Accountabilities Develop and implement plans for international stakeholders including NGOs, government and think tanks Manage and monitor roll out of stakeholder guidelines and tools acting as point of contact for wider business Work closely with external PR agencies, investor relations and communications team Identify and mitigate potential risks and reputation issues Coordinate external events, conferences and seminars Develop stakeholder database and carry out stakeholder mapping for international audience This is a maternity cover fixed term contract for 6 months.
