Are you training to be a theatre professional and passionate about community theatre? Join us in helping the residents of South Wimbledon and South Mitcham explore their experience of the local open spaces building to an open air production at the end of the summer. Groundwork London is working to enable a group of residents from South Wimbledon and South Mitcham to create a piece of open air community theatre. The performance will take place at the end of summer in an Open Air location near to the River Wandle. Residents are invited to come and learn theatre skills and to come together to create a piece of intergenerational theatre that explores experience of the local open spaces. The project aims to involve people of all ages and rehearsals will take place bi-weekly throughout July and August. The role of the Stage Manager and Producer will be to manage the logistics and resourcing for the production, and to manage rehearsals and the performance. The role requires excellent liaison and communication skills and will support the Director in all aspects of the production. They will work with members of the community, and help and support them to develop skills relating to the production of a theatrical performance.
