Commissioning Engineer
COMMISSIONING ENGINEER - SOUTH WEST - CONTRACT - £300 Ltd per day STR are currently recruiting for an Commissioning Engineer for a leading UK M&E Contractor within the Water & Wastewater Industry. You will be responsible in the commissioning of Mechanical/Electrical (M&E) and combined schemes, predominately in the Water & Wastewater Industry in the South West region. The main duties include the responsibility for the following; - Preparation of Commissioning Documentation including Commissioning Manuals, Test Plans and Training Manuals. - Attendance at commissioning meetings with representatives from our clients engineering and operational teams. - Undertaking Factory Acceptance Testing for major items of plant. - Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors throughout the on-site commissioning process. The commissioning, interfacing and setting to work of equipment including; - Motor Control Centres - Pumping Plant - Process Equipment - Standby Generation Equipment - Various Instrumentation Knowledge of PLC software packages would be a distinct advantage, especially Modicon PLCs. You should be able to undertake or supervise the NICEIC electrical installation testing to C&G 2391 as requested, and deliver client training covering both operational and technical competencies. The completion of commissioning records and diaries ensuring that all progress and equipment settings are recorded for the O&M manuals is also expected. Undertake the role of site manager during the commissioning/snagging phase of the projects you are involved in, and ensure the company comply with all the relevant regulations and provide a point of contact for the client at site level. You will also assist the design team by undertaking site visits to gather information for the purposes of tendering or design prior to construction, ensuring compliance with the current IEE regulations and all other relevant specifications. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification; - Industry applicable ONC or City & Guilds / NVQ equivalent - Experience of working within the water and / or sewage industries - Relevant H&S qualifications (IOSH or CITB 5 Day Site Safety Management, CSCS card and First Aid training) - Working knowledge of Microsoft packages Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
