This is a one year contract to hire opportunity with a Fortune 500+ company in Miami, Fl. This is a night shift position. This position is actively open and ready to interview. Job Description: - THIS IS A 3RD SHIFT/NIGHT OPERATOR POSITION. - THE SHIFT IS 10:00PM TO 7:00AM WITH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY OFF. - They are eliminating the position in California as they consolidate everything to Miami where the rest of the team sits. - They are going from 2 AS400 machines (one in Aliso and one in Miami) to 1 in Miami. - The client's intranet runs on AS400-Power7 and the main programming language is RPG. - In charge of the nightly operations of the multiple AS400s and peripherals. - Run reports as requested during non-office hours. - Must be able to work without direct supervision during his/her regular business hours. - Maintain an inventory of supplies needed for the AS400s and generate Requisition Forms. - Responsible for the Daily and Monthly AS400 backup media. - Develop and/or maintain updated AS400 and related hardware and software operation documentation. - Support the operation of AS400 related software packages. - Interact with the rest of IS personnel in areas related to the overall performance of the AS400s.
