Job Description: Set up and operates lathes, milling machine, electrical discharge machines, surface and cylindrical grinders. Disassembles and assembles mold, analyzes basic mold problems including flashing conditions, galling, cooling problems, venting, etc. Completes engineering changes and revisions to injection molds. Repairs injection mold cavities and cores due to damage or wear. Stones and polishes mold components. Builds fixtures to gages as needed. Four years experience. Certificates in tooling for injection molding. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN THE MEDICAL MANUFACTURING FIELD IS A PLUS! Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and blueprint reading. Ability to use advance shop math and precision measuring instrument.
