Cisco Technical Designers / Architects required for initial 6 month contracts based in Rickmansworth and Harrogate, for a large financial services client. To lead the high-level technical network design and be the technical design authority for network aspects of projects within the organisation. Required Skills: A proven Cisco expert in a demanding design role Hands-on experience of Cisco hardware - switches L2/L3, routers, firewalls etc. Broad networking experience including protocol knowledge, especially the TCP/IP stack. Cisco CCDA or CCNA Ability to work flexibly, occasional travel, some overtime (but production on-call is not required). Desirable Skills: Valid CCNP Hands on experience of land balancers, content switches, SSL appliances, network management systems (eg HP Openview). Understanding of Change Control, ITIL and PRINCE2 methodologies.
