Job title: Quality Control & Compliance Specialist Job type: 12 month contract + extensions Location: Maidenhead / M4 corridor / Berkshire / South East England Salary: �12 to �14/hour A QC / Compliance Specialist with analytical chemistry experience is required by a leading Pharmaceutical company based in Maidenhead The ideal candidate will be responsible for product release / final sign-off, as well as maintainign compliance of QC laboratories In return, a salary of �12 to �14/hour is on offer, as well as the chance to work with an industry leading organisation We have exciting opportunity for somebody with previous experience in analytical chemistry techniques to further their career in a Quality Compliance position JOB PURPOSE To enable the product release from site to happen in a timely manner and to assist with the compliance of the QC laboratories JOB FUNCTION / PRINCIPAL DUTIES * Ensuring the GcLP framework within the lab is maintained and complied with. Specific responsibilities include: *Product release *Certificate of Analysis generation *Analytical result recording *Audit execution and action close out *Pro-actively using metrics data to drive improvements *Designing, delivering and assessing fit for purpose training *Ensuring equipment is always maintained and calibrated on time. *Product specification and departmental document management *Delivering the site's stability program *Supplier complaint tracking *Ensuring labs are stocked with in-date consumables, reagents and standards as necessary *Working within the set budget and reducing costs where possible for consumables, maintenance and calibration and the site's stability program *Shares expertise willingly and proactively with whole of QC. *To ensure that GMP, Quality, Health & Safety are considered in all aspects of role DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY & CONTROLS *Takes part in investigations of compliance related issues CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS *Degree or HNC in Chemistry or a related discipline *Experience of working within a QC laboratory operating to GcLP *Experience in a wide variety of analytical techniques including HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, XRF, NMR and RAMAN *An effective communicator with good interpersonal skills *Ability to work as part of a team and independently *Thorough knowledge of GcLP *Computer literate, including LIMS and MS Office Applications For more information, please contact James Harvey at Gold Group on 01342 330 515, or send your CV to james.harvey@goldgroup.co.uk This advert was posted by Gold Group - one of the UK's leading niche recruitment consultancies.
