The Projects Officer will support the Programmes & Engineering Director in the successful delivery of identified new and existing development projects. They will coordinate with Engineering and Operations stakeholders to support delivery of project deliverables to the required customer/quality standards to schedule and budget. The Projects Officer may also be called upon to support the Business Development Team during the bid stages of new development projects. The Key Accountabilities: Providing project support to the delivery of identified new and existing customer development programmes to agreed cost, quality and delivery timescales. Preparation of project status reports, for internal and external stakeholders, including formal monthly reporting to Senior Management.Approach and reporting to be compliant with business Life Cycle Management (LCM) process. Effective communication with customers and suppliers in order to support the successful delivery of projects. Provide support to the Business Development Team with the generation of bids for development work Proven capability in a Project Officer role in a mutli-disciplinary environment Aptitude & tenacity to deal with multiple priorities, data sources, and projects Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels Good level of computer literacy and understanding/working knowledge of business ERP systems (e.g Syspro). The successful candidate will ideally come from a Aerospace / Defence / Military background. This is a 12 month contract opportunity based in Hertfordshire.
