Tivoli Storage Manager Admin Charlotte, NC Tivoli Storage Manager Backup Administrator CCCi has an opportunity for a Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Backup Administrator to work with our large Energy client here in the Charlotte area. EBR is searching for a backup admin with understanding of backup architectures related to IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM). TSM Backup Admin Responsibilities: ¾ Make configuration recommendations, audit all aspects of data backups to ensure the integrity of backup environment ¾ Work with a team of Backup Storage Administrators managing the daily tasks of backups for distributed systems ¾ Monitor all platforms for missed/failed backups and monitor capacity in all areas ¾ Monitor activity logs for potential problems and investigate hardware/software errors ¾ Log internally and open cases with vendors as necessary, analyze historical trends TSM Backup Admin Required Skills: ¾ 6-9 years? experience with TSM, EMC Data domain, Virtual Tape library ¾ Avamar skills strongly preferred ¾ Candidate must be onsite and MUST have excellent communication skills ¾ Experience installing and maintaining enterprise backup and recovery software ¾ Ability to work on cross-functional teams providing technical direction for storage/backup issues and projects ¾ Ability to analyze and troubleshoot root cause of failures ¾ Experienced with Microsoft and Unix based operating systems TSM Backup Admin Desired Skills: ¾ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred ¾ EMC Tools supporting ServerGraph and DPA ¾ Strong understanding of SAN/NAS ¾ Proficient with Remedy or Picasso for Change and Incident Management.
