Our client is looking for Field technician/engineers who will be responsible for installation and repair of POTS and DSL for residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate will be able to execute both interior and exterior installation, perform evaluation, modification, restoration and removal of telephone systems if needed. "APPLICANTS WILL BE EXPECTED TO HAVE THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT" Experience in the following is required: - Cat 5/6 cable pulling and termination - 25, 50, and some 100 pair cable - DSL installations - Recondition, clean up cross boxes and pedestals, pro-active maintenance - Working with telecom color-coded wires and cables - Connects wires and cables to terminals, and attached/detaches various kinds of hardware to wires, cables, buildings, and poles - Working from Pedestal to source, working with connecting points (terminals) - Installs, maintains/repairs, and tests residential/small business and telecommunication service - Maintains/repairs and tests copper cable and/or fiber optic cable in underground, aerial, and buried environment (most buried, mostly copper) - Troubleshoots problems that will require cable repair, cable maintenance, air pressure, splicing, faultfinding, etc. - Makes splicing rearrangements on existing facilities buried, underground, aerial and building work locations - Performing installations of digital and Analog Cable/internet and digital telephone systems These individuals will be responsible to respond to day to day tickets provided by the client. The tickets will require extensive customer interaction daily. Tickets will require individuals to repair cable faults in customer premise wiring, work with aerial and buried cable as needed. These individuals will need to analyze and meet specific customer needs on provisioning and repair contacts.These individuals need to have extensive experience testing circuits and be able to use various test equipment to test the circuits.
