POSITION SUMMARY Primary IT lead in identifying, evaluating, developing and implementing financial planning and reporting solutions using the Oracle Hyperion products including the Enterprise Performance Management System (Hyperion Planning), Essbase, and Financial Data Quality Management (FDM). Responsible for planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of user (finance) business requirements. MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES Organize and lead requirement meetings with business sponsors/users. Perform detailed analysis as needed, including gap analysis to develop both high-level and detail business requirements/specification documentation for all application upgrades, enhancements, and add-ons. Coordinate with Finance and IT to guarantee accuracy of data feeds and inclusion of all relevant information in population of Hyperion Planning and Reporting modules. Create and maintain documentation on processes and procedures related to Hyperion Planning and Reporting in conjunction with organizational policies, guidelines, and standards. Work with the Development and the DBA Teams to build and implement planning, forecasting, and reporting tools in Hyperion and Essbase. Execute testing of developed solution, ensuring business requirements are implemented accurately. OTHER ACTIVITIES AS NEEDED Set-up and maintain Hyperion Essbase Outlines. Set-up and maintain Hyperion Planning Data Entry Forms and related security/calculation settings. Write, modify, and maintain Essbase Calculation scripts, Essbase Outline member formulas, Essbase Data load rules, Essbase Dimension build rules, and Essbase reporting scripts. Write, modify, and maintain Hyperion Financial Reports, Hyperion Web Analysis Views, Dashboards, SmartView Reports, and Hyperion Planning smart lists. Support company-wide consolidation and financial reporting application from problem diagnosis and analysis through problem resolution and will analyze and design solutions to ensure that Hyperion system functionality aligns with business processes. QUALIFICATIONS Education: BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology Hyperion Financial Management/Planning certification a plus. Experience: 5+ years of progressively responsible experience working with the various Hyperion Products including: Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Web Analysis, Financial Reporting, FDM, and Workspace. The following experience is required: Working knowledge of multi-dimensional applications - OLAP (Outlines, dimensions, measures, members, metadata administration with ability to design complex calculations) Data movements/mapping including validation to confirm system outputs are correct (data integrity) Hyperion Planning experience: Calculation Scripts & Business Rules Planning Web Forms Planning Security Hyperion Reporting experience: Developing reports using Financial Reporting Studio or Web Analysis Studio Developing ad-hoc reports using Hyperion Smartview Good understanding of Finance/Accounting data and the ability to communicate clearly on that topic. Hands-on budgeting, forecasting and reporting experience. Ability to utilize infrastructure software and Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Visio and MS Project. Working knowledge of the software development life cycle. Exposure to a formal Project Management methodology Experience with Oracle Financials 11i a plus SQL, relational database query tools a plus Skills: Skilled at issue identification and resolution. Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, presentation. Ability to present highly technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Ability to interface effectively with multiple functions/organizations and all levels of management. Detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills to meet critical deadlines. Strong data analysis and problem solving ability; team leadership ability SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no direct reports however this person will be expected to ensure quality, provide guidance and training, to junior level resources.
