Our client is currently seeking a Network Architect. Main Duties: Serves as the highest level of technical expert in network planning and telecommunications Responsible for designing voice and data network solutions Responsible for developing network standards/policies/procedures Works with resources from other technical groups to implement network design changes Determines new methods and develops new procedures for accomplishing work Provides work direction/assigns tasks to lower level employees Work is at the highest level and requires an evaluation of all known methods, company practices and goals Identifies or creates solutions that are likely to contribute to the development of new company concepts Interfaces with all levels of management to negotiate project priorities and outcomes Candidates must have a BS and 8 + years of experience or the equivalent. Competencies: Expert knowledge of network systems Knowledge of emerging technologies Knowledge of company's business requirements and standards Knows the customer's business and seeks information about the real underlying needs of the customer, beyond those initially expressed and not obvious to others Matches those needs to available products and/or services to meet those needs Negotiates to resolve customer issues by seeking win-win solutions that add value to the customer Develops unique strategies to promote the effectiveness of the group Ensures that all members of the team and those with whom they interact build relationships and trust to achieve business objectives Is able to effectively relate his/her technical expertise to varying organizational needs; knows when and how the technical content can be legitimately tailored to fit different departments and customer needs Efficiently applies topical knowledge and expertise to make significant solutions for customer groups and the entire business Recognizes the value of a multi-industry perspective and applies best practices to create innovative solutions Determines process and priorities based on the requirements of a situation.
