The Application Developer / Programmer Lead in San Francisco, California will have the following functions: * Review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs * May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist * Translate business/systems requirements into high level and detail technical designs * Provide guidance, assistance, coordination and follow-up on complex problems and ensures resolution * Complete efficient coding and unit testing on complex applications * Provide assistance to Technical Lead/Project Manager in estimating work efforts * Adhere to the defined System Development Lifecycle * Maintain thorough knowledge of developments in the Information Technology industry that may provide benefit to the company's Facets Development and Support team Specific Requirements (required unless noted otherwise): * 4 to 6 years of directly related professional experience * Deep technical abilities in one or more primary products, programs or technologies. * Minimum of 4+ years of software development experience * Minimum 4+ years experience as ETL designer / developer using Informatica PowerCenter 8.1, PowerExchange CDC, PowerConnect * Top skills: Informatica and PL/SQL * Minimum of 4 years of solid knowledge in database (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server) * Minimum of 4 years of good programming knowledge in PL/SQL * Proven experience with the design and development of large scale ETL solutions integrating multiple source systems and must have experience with unstructured data * Implementing and refining required business transformation rules and logic * Analyzing source systems for data profiling and creation of source to target mapping specs * Designing and developing exception handling, data standardization procedures and quality assurance controls * Optimizing ETL performance * Preparation of technical specification documentation * Solid understanding of overall data warehouse design principles * Solid UNIX shell scripting skills * Demonstrated experience maintaining Informatica Server environments * Proven experience designing and developing Quality Assurance solutions * Experience working on Facets extension, interfaces & report development is an added advantage * TriZetto Facets data model knowledge in Claims, Billing, and Provider areas is preferred * Ability to work independently with minimum support/mentoring * Good communication skills * Experience working with off-shore development teams
