Design - Argolis Skandinavia needs a new website design
Organization name Argolis Skandinavia Description of the organization and its target audience Argolis Yacht and Argolis Skandinavia have a fleet of more than 200 yachts in the Mediterranean. With Argolis you can charter your own yacht for a pleasant holiday in Greece, Turkey and Croatia. You can charter a bareboat with yourself as a skipper, or you can hire crew to sail the yacht for you, for you to sit back, enjoying your drink while we sail your yacht from one island to the next. Whenever you want to practice sailing, we will teach you how to. With an increasing demand of online information and bookings, our Scandinavian web site is looking for a new fresh appealing web design. The design should be maritime, light, fresh and intuitive. Focus is to attract the client to stay on Argolis web page while searching for their next holiday. “You never get a second chance of making a good first impression”. Our landing page is the most important page, next to the content in our articles. Industry Travel & Hotel Existing website to reference www.argolis-yacht.no Number of pages needed 1 Page descriptions The first page should attract clients, but also search engines! We are talking SEO! The landing page should consist of modules with relevant information which will be indexed by Google and others. The content will off course be our task. You can check the current site on www.argolis-yacht.no. We don’t want to limit your creativity too much, because we would like you to come up with great new designs we haven’t thought of ourselves. However we feel it’s important to get “right to the business” by presenting our online search and booking engine already on the landing page. We would like some space for TOP DEALS or GREAT NEWS. Suggestion is also to use the space kept for booking engine to present articles when client is looking through our menus. . You can see how it works on our current page. Our Facebook page should get some focus also. To sum up the focus areas: -First time good impression, keeping the visitor on the page -SEO friendly -Right to the business with booking engine on the landing page -Flexible information/top deals/great news boxes available. -Space for articles, or reuse space from booking engine. -Light, fresh and intuitive design, presented in a Maritime touch. Other elements to keep in the new design: -Livesupport. Graphic can be changed! :-) -Some Facebook integration. You can suggest other designs. -Newsletter subscription. Design and elements are up to you. Newsletter on email is not so important anymore, as we tend to use Facebook more and more. Style/theme ideas for the website Our site is running Joomla 2.5 with a template called JoomlaShine, JSN Epic. The template consists of a structure, still with a very flexible structure. We feel confident with this template and would like you to adapt your design to it. (Attached, please find the template information). What to avoid None specified. Inspirational websites www.argolis-yacht.no/en/ Our current page (english version) www.facebook.com/ArgolisSkandinavia…2544333196 Our Facebook page recently got a design which could be of some inspiration (but not limiting) www.facebook.com/ArgolisSkandinavia Our facebook page www.navigare-yachting.com What others are doing: This page does not impress me with their design, but it gives the visitor information that attracts them and maybe keeps them on the page. www.sailingeurope.com/en/home What others are doing: Have lots of information on their landing page. Still design isn’t the greatest. A bit too messy. Still I think it’s very SEO friendly?! Notes None specified. Content management system Joomla (Note: This is a design contest only. No coding is required.)
