A major financial services firm is looking for a Web Developer for a 5 month contract assignment. Below are the skill sets required: An experienced web/database developer is needed to support multiple global web applications, sponsored by a variety of different business groups on the firm's intranet. The current suite of applications is in a variety of development platforms - classic ASP, COM+ .NET (1.1, 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0). Work assignments include development of new applications as well as enhancements and migration of existing applications. The ideal candidate would have very strong database and web development skills (ASP, C#, VB.NET and Javascript, Ajax, JSON, XML, MS SQL server 2008, ADO, Web servers IIS 6.0 and 7.0 Web services using SOAP ) with extensive experience in all facets of web application development (front-end to back-end), able to work through the complete systems life cycle (requirements through testing and production implementation) for an assigned project, and able to work either independently or as part of a small team.
