The purpose of this position is to develop, document and refine the existing training programs to assure all Customer Billing personnel are trained and qualified to perform customer billing operations, including bill preparation and issuance, billing data analysis, and customer bill reviews. Position Responsibilities include but not limited to: Works directly with the Customer Service Billing Manager, Supervisors and Senior Revenue Analysts (SRAs) to develop, document and refine the existing training program within the organization. Develops a comprehensive training plan and program for Revenue Analysts (RAs), utilizing existing materials as a starting point. Leads the design of new training modules. Reviews, evaluates, and revises existing training modules. Develops or revises training materials in coordination with the SRAs or other Subject Matter Experts. Identifies training needs. Works with supervisors and SRAs, and reviews various activity tracking logs and reports to identify common errors or problems. Develops plans for the SRAs to capture procedures for handling new billing products and to maintain documentation of existing procedures. Uses the information provided to assess new training opportunities and, as necessary, incorporates into training sessions. Develops assessment tools to assess training effectiveness. Develops training materials, reference manuals, job aids, etc Plans and coordinates training sessions. Establishes schedules for both large- and small-group sessions and organizes materials. Coordinates training provided by other workgroups. Develops and implements procedures to document training, including tracking those RAs who have and have not completed training. Follows-up with RAs who have not completed training to ensure it is completed. As needed, coordinates with the Customer Billing Manager and Supervisors to develop and revise Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and tracks IDP progress and completion. Regularly reviews existing policies and procedures to ensure relevance and recommend changes to the Customer Billing Manager and Supervisors on the changes needed to improve processes, operations, and/or to create efficiencies to support continuous improvement for operational excellence. Other duties as may be assigned. Position Requirements: Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training, Business or related subject preferred, but not required. 2 - 5 years of experience in instructional design, training/curriculum development, technical writing (training content writing), coursework implementation or a related field is required. Knowledge level sufficient to demonstrate proficiency in understanding training development, coordination and implementation processes. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 2010. General Skill Requirements: Demonstrated experience developing training programs, materials and curriculum for internal systems, processes, and technology (please be able to provide work samples). Demonstrated success in the area of instructional systems design, training needs assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of learning and development training programs. (please have work samples available of training developed internally for employees/customers) 2 - 5 yrs experience in training design and development for curriculum and/or web based modules Experience identifying training needs and determining training effectiveness is highly desirable. Experience developing, documenting and refining electric utility training programs is desirable Demonstrated capability in designing training through working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders throughout the process Excellent training and presentation skills with a variety of audiences Additional Requirements: Excellent attention to detail, process oriented as it relates to training determination, design, delivery, and evaluation methods Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers and the general public. Demonstrated record of outstanding customer service. Ability to work with a variety of clients both up and down the organization Proven ability to take direction well and work under minimal supervision Ability to manage assigned project tasks and complete with short deadlines and work well under pressure.
