Link Technologies is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer for a 6 month contract assignment on client location in O'Fallon MO. We are looking for a candidate that requires little to NO supervision, driven, enthusiastic, detail oriented, multi-tasker, learns quickly, can adapt to client culture and can work in a very FAST paced in the mobile and E-commerce group. Required Skills: General Knowledge of good programming practices Expected to prioritize work load and meet multiple project deadlines. Expected to adapt in a dynamic and collaborative work environment and make independent decisions Will work with project architect and/or technical lead to confirm and substantiate functional and technical designs. Expected to learn and deploy new technologies as needed. Good understanding of Object oriented design concepts Understanding of application layering Experience with the following open-source projects which are now de-facto standards:- Ant, JUnit, Log4J, Jakarta Commons Follows and enforces the coding standards as established in the team Technologies & Other Skills Java - Minimum 3-4 years of exp. working on Java applications, good grasp of the language and basic Object Orientation concepts o Understanding of Java Threading model required o Experience in developing Java multi-threaded applications preferred Spring - basic knowledge of concepts required, extensive experience preferred Hibernate - solid working knowledge required Web Services (top-down/wsdl-first approach) Object-oriented Design Solid grasp on relational database modeling and design Possess Teamwork and Communication skills (such as): Document detailed designs with class and sequence diagrams Perform peer code reviews Effective communication of development efforts and concerns with architect and project lead Must have experience working in an Agile software development environment Nice to Have: Work experience related to financial industry Mobile technology and/or mobile development background Familiar with architectural concepts such as: o SOA o Enterprise Service Bus o SSO To apply, please send your resume in MS Word format to (see below) and reference Job ID# 5244.
