Application Support Analyst
Position Description Summary: Under the general direction of the Manager, the Operation Applications Support Analyst will coordinate and manage the Application support issues reported by the business or automated alerts and communicate with the business and technical team throughout the process of identifying and implementing the solution. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: We are looking for someone that shows passion in IT. Support includes internally developed and "out of the box" Applications such as Microsoft SCOM, SharePoint, and BizTalk. Maintain operations and updates to corporately managed websites using knowledge of Microsoft IIS 6.0 and 7, Powershell Scripting, Server 2003, 2008, and related technologies. Customer Documentation and Notification: Keep the User Community informed on all Applications and Systems availability, scheduled down times and status during problem resolutions. Maintain the healthy operation of Server based applications through patch maintenance, managing vendor support calls, and working with end users regarding application issues. Work with Internal and external resources as needed to drive problem resolution. Coordinate, maintain and publish documentation related to departmental policies and procedures. Create, document, communicate and maintain procedures related to area of responsibility. Must provide On-Call Support. Minimum Experience and Education Requirements: Requires some training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires two (2) or more years experience as an analyst in healthcare IT computer systems. Project Management: Responsible for implementation of additional Server applications, Web sites, and related software. Quality Assurance: Responsible for all testing and documentation related to the operational support of Enterprise Applications and Web sites. Attention to detail, quick study, self-motivated, proactive, excellent communication skills, ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical people and translate business issues into technical requirements. Extensive background in Windows Server 2003/2008, and Applications Support. Experience with Microsoft Operating System including implementation, documentation and troubleshooting a must. Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements: Understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process Experience with supporting web based applications Knowledge of Company's business practices and vision Familiarity with the Company's products and resources Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Good interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines Ability to use good judgment in conveying project status and problem escalation Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
