Acting as a Composite data virtualization specialist, you will be responsible for assisting project teams in determining which projects would make suitable candidates for Composite data virtualization versus physical ETL. For those projects leveraging Composite, you will be responsible for assisting the project team with architecting and deploying an end to end data virtualization solution. RESPONSIBILITIES - Act as Primary Administrator for Composite environment - Perform Composite Software installations/upgrades - Present technical concepts and map client data needs to the capabilities of the Composite product offering - Perform high visibility pilot and proof of concept implementations for new projects. - Serve as Solution Architect for Composite projects o Establish and document a standardized, iterative development methodology which will serve as the baseline for all data integration efforts involved in delivering the overall virtual data solution o Design and implement a Composite framework which will be used to govern all phases of integration from data source introspection through data publication o Identify and implement data caches and design process for long term cache maintenance SKILLS REQUIRED - Client focus through knowledge of business needs and expectations - Ability to analyze project data requirements and make informed recommendations on whether to pursue physical or virtual implementation strategies - Strong technical skills in technologies such as SQL, XML, UNIX, Java, and WSDL - Architecture and deployment concepts of one or more of the following data integration platforms: Informatica, Datastage, Ab Initio - Proven ability to successfully deliver an end to end virtual data solution in an environment containing obscure or incomplete requirements - Data warehousing and business intelligence methodology and technology knowledge, evaluation and expertise - Knowledge of industry-specific business operations/models and application expertise - Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict timelines in a client-driven, fast paced environment - Contribution to the team and organization through effective communication and leadership by example MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's Degree in IT/Computer Science or technology/engineering related field - Formally trained in Composite data virtualization - Minimum 3 years solid working knowledge of virtual data solutions - Minimum 3 years solid working knowledge of physical ETL solutions - Minimum 5 years solid working knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts Join TEKsystems() and get your career on the fast track.
