Mobile Deployment Manager
Job Description: The Mobile Deployment Manager will serve as a technical resource responsible for structuring an environment to design/deploy mobile applications and updates for the Department's mobile devices. They will work with development teams to design and implement solutions to ensure secure delivery of applications and updates to the mobile workforce and to protect the safety and security of information systems data that may be accessed from mobile applications and software products. They will provide guidance and direction for the protection of information systems, applications and intellectual property assets. Essential Responsibilities: Design a secure delivery method for mobile device management including updates and applications for iOS and Android platforms (phones and tablets). Design in-house app stores to publish applications to the mobile workforce. Facilitate the development and communication of software standards for mobile software design, development and deployment. Leverage the MDM services to manage 3rd party applications from the app stores as well as the in-house enterprise applications. Work with application and product teams to ensure smooth delivery throughout software development from concept to testing and implementation. Review existing data storage and transit processes, documenting any shortcomings and recommendations for resolution. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Minimum 3 years of experience in mobile software testing, deployment architectures, and mobile application publishing. Minimum 3 years of experience with Mobile Device Management. Minimum 1 years of experience in assessing mobile device configurations including Android, Windows mobile, iPhone, iPad and Blackberry Desired Characteristics: Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources Demonstrated customer focus; building strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint Strong analytical skills – strong problem solving skills, can communicate in a clear manner and effectively evaluates information as well as data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve Change oriented – actively generates process improvements; supports and drives change, and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways
