Project Manager Excel, Spreadsheet Modeling
Our client is a super high-visibility software company seeking a Project Manager who can live inside spreadsheets. OVERVIEW: Audit the work of others on the team which includes understanding the problem and the proposed data solution. Manage ad-hoc requests for information and analysis. Run standard reports as needed. Look for ways to automate current manual auditing processes and implement these process improvements. Some financial data analysis. Delight HR customers by showing off your work to HR Leaders and others who want to support their decisions and actions. QUALIFICATIONS: Extensive experience required with Excel, Access, and other applications employed in spreadsheet modelling and tool building skills AS A PLUS: Visual Basic and experience building ad hoc tools in an Excel Front End with Access on the Back End and/or background and working knowledge of SQL Reporting Services Strong sense of personal accountability, attention to detail, and drive for excellence in work Excel skills required: Pivot tables and reports, formulas, conditional formatting, functions and macros, charts and graphs; automate and refresh Statistical analysis and data mining skills a plus Highly creative and focused analyst - someone who has a visceral need to solve the problem at hand with a high degree of accuracy Ability to tell the story discovered in the data; to present complex analysis and technical results to a non-technical audience Great collaborator, works well with a variety of customers Communicates well in person, via email, and IM; able to create documentation for use by very broad audiences Enjoys juggling high priority requests on tight deadlines; very flexible about having priorities change daily, sometimes hourly This contract position is expected to be 3 months in duration with potential for extension.
