Kforce is currently looking for a Technical Writer for long-term projects with a client located in Broomfield, Colorado. Research, plan, develop, and publish storage documentation. This includes task, reference, and conceptual information for user guides and help system and well as release notes. Work in a collaborative writing environment and ensure all content adheres to style standards, information model, and quality checklists. Work with minimal supervision and meet established deadlines. Responsibilities Include: * Author content in XML and ensure that it conforms to topic-based (DITA) writing standards * Conduct interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for authoring content * Follow workflow processes and maximize content re-use opportunities * Research and translate technical information into final deliverables for technical audiences * Prepare content that is ready for internationalization The successful Technical Writer applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * Structured writing using an XML Editor, preferably Arbortext or Oxygen * Enterprise-level, XML-based CMS such as Astoria Software * Topic-based authoring that conforms to the DITA standard * Strong editing skills * Proficiency with SAN and NAS storage environments, NAS protocols, or VM Ware experience is a plus
