Our fortune 500 client in the insurance industry is seeking a qualified consultant for the following contract opportunity: Network Planning Analyst Cisco Unified Communication Manager (Call Manager) engineer wanted. If you have 3-5 years of hands on experience with Cisco,'(tm)s Call Manager systems then we are looking for you. The ideal candidate will have administered a production Cisco UCM environment including the full provisioning process for end users and call signaling across an MPLS wide area network. Hands on configuration of Voice Gateway routers including SIP trunking, PRI and Qsig to legacy Avaya PBX a plus. The right candidate will also be able to troubleshoot problems and insure quality of service on all voice calls. Any exposure to Cisco,'(tm)s Advanced Quality Management, Workforce Scheduling and Cisco Call Center (CCX) software a big plus. Candidate will also have strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching, a CCNP is preferred. This position will require working after hours and being on call to support the production network. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Design, implementation and execution of complex network hardware and software configurations • Responsible for developing and maintaining design standards for Corporate Data and Voice Networks globally • Collect and analyze data related to the production network infrastructure. • Developing repeatable processes for execution of common functions for execution by overall team on a global scale • Be apprised of and recommend the implementation of new network technologies to improve stability, supportability, and performance within the network • Engineer, or review and approve, new configurations prior to implementation • Interact with global engineering, implementation and support teams during project turnover to ensure adherence to standards compliance • Conduct internal lab testing of new technologies prior to enterprise rollout • Internal formal and informal training of network engineering, implementation and operations staff • Mentor other engineers on standards, configurations, and methodology Education/Credentials: , Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related discipline , CCVP (CCNP-Voice) Certification , CCNP Certification , Insurance or financial industry experience is a plus Experience: , Minimum 5-10 years professional experience working in large scale enterprise or carrier network environments , Expert knowledge of Cisco VoIP, Routers and Ethernet switches , A detailed understanding that includes: MGCP, SIP, SRST, QSIG, Dial Plans, TCP/IP routing protocols, DNS , Proven ability to research, develop, implement and streamlining processes/procedures for executing voice and data network projects on a enterprise scale , Ability to develop complex network designs based on reference architecture and existing standards is required, as well as the ability to develop new standards , Advanced knowledge of available voice and data network operating systems, network equipment and networking protocols is essential , Demonstrated hands-on experience with Ethernet (10/100/1000) technologies, Routers and Switches, as well as Firewalls and Content Switches, Voice Gateways, IVR, STP, QoS, CDP, VTP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, Network Management and Monitoring Software , Proven ability to lead and execute major new implementation and changes , Strong project management and execution skills , Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to perform packet-level analysis , Proven experience collaborating with and influencing technical and non-technical audiences with an ability to prepare, present, and adapt the intended message to the target audience , Excellent verbal and written skills , Professional experience working Firewalls, Internet appliances, applications , A detailed understanding of, firewall policies, load balancing, proxy and cache Servers, VPN technologies, and layer 4-7 switching, and Cisco,'(tm)s Application Content Engines (ACE) and associated management software , Proven experience in programming, scripting and automation technologies for performing network changes , Evening/weekend hours may be required as needed To apply, please send word doc. resumes directly to john.usher@modis.com and I will contact you ASAP.
