A global market leader in its industry is currently recruiting for a JAVA developer to work in its Manchester and London offices (at times). There will be some travel to visit its Geneva office - approx. once a month. The candidate will be required to assist with the development, documentation, testing and support of the Phase 1 interfaces required by the project. Skills required: - 4 years + developing in JAVA - Experience in developing interfaces in JAVA using Active MQ messaging - Supporting interfaces and resolving defects during testing and go live stages - Provide knowledge transfer to other developers in the team/project - Experience troubleshooting and resolving defects - Experience working in a project environment - Experience working with one or more impacted legacy applications or interfaces - Java - Database knowledge (Oracle and MS SQL) - Proven ability to troubleshoot complex applications - Business fluency in English It is desirable, but not essential that you have knowledge of Active MQ messaging or other interface technology. A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience is requested for this position.
