Quality Assurance Analyst
The primary role of the QA Analyst is execution of the test strategy of an established test plan. This may include test case execution, filing and regressing bugs, and providing a basic status report. The QA Analyst must be able drive up quality in their functional area of ownership for each release. This will be done by gaining an understanding of their functional area through specification reviews and project kick-off events and applying this knowledge during the testing phase. The person will be expected to be able to execute on an established test plan. In doing so, filing defects and following the established defect lifecycle is a must. The QA Analyst 1 works primarily under the general guidance of Senior QA Analysts. The following skills, knowledge and experience are required for this position unless noted otherwise: * 1-4 years of experience in IT QA or Development * Understand bug process and/or lifecycle * Familiarity with a bug tracking system * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Good time management skills * Ability to meet schedules on time and with quality * Knowledge of SDLC and QA place within the SDLC * Basics SQL skills are highly desirable * Knowledge of black box, white box testing is desired * Knowledge of SoapUI (or similar tools) to test APIs and web services is a plus * Working knowledge of current Web UI standards is a plus
