Kforce is seeking to fill a Cognos Developer position with our client in Sunrise, Florida. Duties are as follows: * Produce reports and dashboards using Report Studio, including: cross-tab reports off an OLAP datasource, using macros and parameters, applying drill-up/drill-down/drill-through functionality, blasting for email distribution, multi-prompt pages, complex calculations, conditional blocks and variables, templates, and master-detail reports * Create ad-hoc reports using Analysis Studio and Query Studio * Provide user support for Report Studio, Analysis Studio, and Query Studio; supply alternative methods of using the tool when users have issues * Research solutions using the Cognos user guides, IBM knowledgebase, or other internet forums; work with IBM support as needed; help users become more comfortable with the modules * Develop and maintain Framework Manager Models and packages based on report requirements * Create and maintain user security groups/roles and object security in Cognos Connection * Work with users to determine reporting needs and requirements * Document any newly created objects before publishing to the production environment * QA reports before they are sent to users for testing * Create user acceptance testing scripts * Work with our IT Technical Services department and/or Cognos consulting partners when network/hardware/installation issues arise As the successful applicant, you will possess the following requirements: * 4+ years working with Cognos BI (2+ years should be with version 8 or 10) * 1+ years working with Framework Manager * 5+ years working with reporting and cube technology * 4+ years of creating SQL queries and building reports off of SQL databases * Knowledge of data warehousing concepts * Microsoft Office * A solid understanding of databases and data warehousing concepts, preferably SQL Server Preferred but not required, additional qualifications: * Cognos Transformer, Metrics Manager, and Event Studio * Previously worked in a Healthcare environment * Understanding of accounting concepts * Knowledge of Cognos Planning or TM1 systems
