A small HTML5 & Database mobile app using PhoneGap and SQLite - Android iPhone SQL Lite HTML5
It's a small project, with about 6 pages and 5 database tables, and a simple business logic. It's simply about query database, display data on UI, collect user input, save user's input. We will provide the function specification, data dictionary, and test data. The contractor's task will be implement our design with HTML5, using PhoneGap as wrapper, SQLite as database (not PhoneGap's default database), JQuery Mobile as UI. This is more a start point of an R & D project. We don't care about user interface, user experience, or efficiency. What we care is that it should work on both iPhone/iPad and Android. And the solution should be flexible, MVC model should be applied, so we can easily extend the project in the future. Native code (PhoneGap plugin) can be used for low-layers such as database access, but all UI and logic must be in HTML5. The JavaScript code must be same for iOS or Android (except code of plugin), and can be easily ported to any other platform supported by PhoneGap. Successful candidates must meet the following requirements: 1. You must have your own creativity, we want you release the full power of hybrid development. 2. Familiar with SQLite. 3. Familiar with CSS3/HTML5/JavaScript. 4. Familiar with PhoneGap, jQuery Mobile. 5. Must include your price, delivery time in your proposal. 6. We might be in different time zone, so please also write your business hours in your proposal. Please note we are looking for a long term cooperation. There would be more similar and bigger projects if we proved this works. ------------------------------------------ Added 30 JUN 2012, 22:01 PM EDT Update: PhoneGap/Cordova is mandatory because we will need hardware features like camera, GPS, and Push Notification in future development. If you have solutions other than PhoneGap, we are happy to hear about it. Use of SQLite plugin like /chbrody/Cordova-SQLitePlugin/ or /davibe/Phonegap-SQLitePlugin is also mandatory. Because our database can be large, so we need a pre-calculated db file shipping with the app. There are other reasons as listed in Phonegap-SQLitePlugin's readme. For the GUI part, JQuery Mobile is not mandatory, you can use other solutions. As long as it works the same on Google Chrome Desktop(with Ripple Plugin), on iPhone and on Android. If you have more questions, please feel free to ask me. Desired Skills: Android iPhone SQL Lite HTML5 Keywords: Mobile Applications
