Infrastructure Project Manager
QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ years minimum proven project management skills/discipline in work planning, estimating, resource planning, risk assessment, scope and issue management with complex infrastructure projects. Able to successfully multi-task in a fast paced environment. Able to work in a Matrix environment. Experience with ITIL specifically change management, release management. Experience with Infrastructure technologies and techniques, including Data Center Infrastructure, SAN, Windows Administration, UNIX Administration, Active Directory, Business Continuity technologies and techniques, SQL Databases, Networking, and IT Security concepts. Proven leadership skills to develop systems and create cohesive project teams that address system changes, proactively identify issues and drive solutions Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to scope, plan, and prioritize multiple project deliverables based on dependencies and business needs. Proven Track Record in successfully delivering complex projects in a matrixed environment. Must have good planning skills and be a detail oriented, well organized, problem solving / analytical, self-directed, team focused, and results oriented individual Experienced with resource management, procurement management, project tracking, and risk management PMP is preferred and in-depth experience with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio KEY JOB FUNCTIONS: Estimates the effort required to support specific business requests; calculates and communicates available time for project requests vs. system maintenance based on number of assigned projects. Manages complex projects or multiple projects of moderate complexity. Converts business cases to actionable project plans Ensure project issues are tracked, managed, and resolved Develop and implement project communication plans Ensure cross-track dependencies are identified and managed Facilitates prioritization of outstanding requests by coordinating with key business management and business analysts/partners. Provides time and cost estimates via a structured methodology. Provides timely and complete project evaluations, creates and maintains project plans, and makes recommendations concerning new/revised standards to minimize developmental/operating costs. Develops project plans, design specifications, testing methodology, identifies and fills resource needs, and manages projects to successful delivery on time and within budget.
