What you need for this position: Business Technology has an opening for an Information Technology Support Analyst to be part of a team providing support for implementation of the Bank's new BASIC policy across desktop tools developed in the various business lines in Markets. The successful candidate would be expected to work closely with business areas that have existing desktop tools that fall within the scope of the BASIC policy to implement the various controls required by BASIC and produce appropriate supporting documentation, acquire a strong working knowledge of the businesses they support and demonstrate strong technical skills in areas such as hardware and software environments, effective testing techniques, change management and access control concepts and application interfacing concepts. Staff members are expected to work during normal business hours when Markets staff responsible for desktop-developed tools are generally available. Occasional support on weekends may be required for testing activities of desktop tools that are considered critical and whose testing during the week would present an undue risk to production operations. Job Responsibilities •Maintain the inventory of desktop-developed tools, or BAS, in the Markets Group. Post all BAS to the Bank's risk-tracking tool, Archer • Assist with the creation of Quality Control Plans, Design Documentation and Release Notes • Provide status reports to Group management on compliance status of the inventory • Educate staff on the BASIC Policy and procedures needed to comply • Engage BAS owners to identify compliance measures needed for specific BAS. Provide templates, sample tools to assist with remediation • Serve as a liaison to SIRA/Business Technology on support needs • Coordinate setup of BAS in the appropriate repository • Establish procedures for mitigation steps using the most efficient tools available – Sharepoint, Remedy, Windows access groups • Modify Group Policies/Procedures document for development of desktop tools Work with Markets Management to establish common risk rating definitions for the purpose of determining which BAS are of 'of risk' Job Requirements • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, and/or equivalent work experience • A minimum of five years experience working in a transaction processing environment in the financial services sector in a business or IT support role • Demonstrated understanding of financial transaction processing environments using effective reconciliation and accounting controls • Solid experience with change management principles and procedures • Strong understanding of QA testing methodologies and documentationStrong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of management and staff •Demonstrated analytical & troubleshooting skills supporting production systems • Ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team. Demonstrated ability using collaboration tools such as Sharepoint is a plus.
