I require a piece of software that will enable my computer to receive signals from a handheld radio transmitter (which may be c. 2 miles away). The type of radio device can be of the developer's choosing (analogue or digital), and can be as sophisticated (or expensive) as the developer thinks necessary to achieve total reliability over a 2 mile distance.
