Software Quality Assurance Engineers test code at the user level, manually and with automated tools. Our Seattle, Washington client's Digital Services Division needs a strong Localization QA Engineer to lead QA activities; drive the creation of the localization test suite, conduct functional, regression and integration testing, develop automation, identify internationalization, design, and security issues for devices and distributed, service oriented software systems. Candidates should be proficient in a combination of Java / C++ / C#, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, and JavaScript languages and be able to create automation using tools such as Selenium and QTP. We are especially interested in candidates possessing the focus necessary to develop and execute localization test cases in a way that scales to verifying multiple languages. In addition you must be able to quickly dive deep on defects to clarify exact reproduction steps and ensure appropriate regression over time. The ideal candidate is a motivated and technical localization expert with superior analytical abilities. This opportunity requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills as well as the ability to identify opportunities for improvements in systems, tools and processes, and driving these improvements across groups. You will be responsible for working closely with the development teams to enhance and maintain the product applications and the underlying services that drive them. Write automated tests with scripting tools and/or user-level automated tools. Basic Qualifications: * A BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field and five years work experience or a Master's Degree (Computer Science or related technical field) with two or more years of QA experience * QA experience must include QA testing, automation creation, and utilization of a combination of Java, C++, XML, and C #, JavaScript or SQL * Strong knowledge of QA Methodology and tools * Ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files * Experience in Perl / Python scripting and/or user-level automation tools such as TestQuest or Quick Test Pro * Fluency in at least one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, C#, or Perl * Proven experience in measuring and reporting quality and driving improvements across teams via consensus * Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations * Experience with Web Services and mobile platforms * Experience designing and implementing test cases, running, and reporting on quality * Ability to understand functional / technical specifications and analyze data and server logs * Excellent oral and written communication skills Preferred Qualification: * Experience with working on Mobile devices
