SalesForce Developer(Cloud App.Java,Javascript,HTML,SQL,SSL,LDAPSrvr) New York, NY Role: SalesForce Developer Work Location: Gold Street, New York, NY 10007 Scheduled Work Hours: Full Time - 9 to 6 - 40hrs/wk Assignment Start Date: 07/30/2012 SCOPE OF SERVICES Championed by the Deputy Mayor of Operations and the Deputy Mayor of Economic Development, the NYC Business Acceleration program was launched last year with a mandate to transform the way in which City government provides services to the local business community and to help make New York City “the most business-friendly City in the world.” To accomplish this, the Business Acceleration team has taken on a broad portfolio of project initiatives, ranging from the implementation of powerful enterprise technology solutions – including the expansion of online portal solutions for the public, as well as the roll-out of new back-office software solutions for City personnel – to sweeping business process re-engineering projects – including the consolidation of inspection and plan review functions in a single co-located entity, as well as the creation of a new class of City case managers who will to provide concierge-like services to business owners. The scope of services to be performed by the selected individual includes: • Work closely under the direction of the Project Manager and with stakeholders from NBAT, DoITT, the Mayor’s Office, FDNY, DOB, DEP, DOF, DOHMH, DCA including managers, line employees, and IT staff as required. • Executes development, testing, and deployment of new or modified formula, Java code, SOQL, and Force.com customizations to NBAT’s SalesForce.com application, • Lead code and customization development for the implementation of a Customer Portal using the SalesForce.com platform that adheres to the City’s IT security standards, • Facilitate test coverage, testing, and migration activities in coordination with project team during scheduled releases, • Collaborate with the content teams to determine detailed Interwoven development tasks, dependencies and timeframes, • Participate and support integration activities between NBATs SaleForce.com application and other City systems, • Generation and maintenance of system documentation (run-books, migration documents, knowledge transfer) • Provide input on strategies for architecting data and integrating other City systems with NBAT’s SalesForce.com application. MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: - At least 8 years of experience in Java or Java Script development - At least 4 years of experience in configuring cloud based solutions (SalesForce.com preferred) - At least 2 years experience in HTML, or SQL/SOQL - At least 4 years experience in architecting web or cloud base applications - 4 or more years Knowledge of Web Security tools- LDAP Server, SSL Certificates. - Must have problem solving skills - Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic. - Must be able to meet dates when commitments are made - Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment - Must be self motivated, able to plan work effort and manage to schedule and priorities DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • Prior government project experience (NYC strongly preferred). • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field • Experience working on agile projects desirable • Experience in design and configuration for electronic application, permitting and licensing transactions desirable • Experience documenting business workflows, process flows and system flows • Experience in architecting cloud based solutions and applications
