Project Coordinator Job
Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our client in Norristown, PA. Job Responsibilities: - Meeting individual objectives outlined by the Program Management Office - Works with current project managers who are subject matter experts in order to train/guide them in Project Management processes and methodologies across a wide range of projects (Facilities, Telecom, AIX, etc) - Applies industry standard Project Management methodology (PMI) to project activities - Participate in planning and coordinating project activities to ensure that goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and other parameters - Create and carry out project plans and activities for customers or business initiatives - Ensure that tasks are completed as scheduled; report results to project or program manager - Perform project activities, ensuring the accuracy, quality and integrity of the information while providing consistent content and appearance within the project - Support Program and Project Managers achieve program and project objectives. - Assist in reviewing project proposals or plans to help determine time frame and procedures for accomplishing projects. - Produce and implement a communications strategy and plan to effectively meet Stakeholders' information needs with timely distribution. Manage delivery logistics to project Stakeholders. - Facilitate review and approval of all messages (content and format). - Collect and analyze feedback and lessons learned documentation. - Support established work plan for each phase of projects - Understand work plan, accept duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. - Be familiar with established project scope, deliverables, milestones, and required tasks. - Complete activities to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budget. - Prepare status reports for Project Managers using Microsoft Office suite of products. - Adhere to standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation. - Confer with Project Manager to provide advice and problem solving. - Coordinate project activities with business unit(s) activities. - Coordinate requests for changes from original specifications, using established standards - Ensure easy and appropriate information access to staff and/or customers. - Keep close contact with key customer representatives to ensure solutions are meeting their expectations and providing them with valuable information-sharing capabilities. - Work closely with the end users, business technologists, and others to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs. - Perform project close-out activities as needed. Job Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience - VERY Strong competency/proficiency in MS Project 2003 (or later) - Expert Level - Must have the ability to both create and maintain project schedules - Experience entering Actuals in a MS Project Schedule - Experience using resources - Experience within a structured process or project management methodology, preferably PMI - Strong competency/proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint) - Experience with procurement process and lifecycle (SOW/RFPs, vendor selection, purchase requirement, purchase order, goods receipt, invoice paid, warranty, maintenance) - Must have experience managing and documenting project risks - Minimum 8 years in-depth experience in the IT industry - Must have strong analytical skills, as well as the ability to multi-task - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Ability to produce high quality work deliverables with attention to detail - Ability to effectively work in a team environment - Demonstrated leadership potential - Solid project experience with ability to multitask in a cross-functional environment - Must possess a motivated and team player work ethic Preferred Job Skills / Experience / Knowledge: - PMP - Project Management Professional Certification - Strong competency/proficiency in SAP or similar financial tracking system (candidate should be able to transfer financial data from SAP into Microsoft Project or Excel in order to update project plans, give status updates, etc) Discover all that's possible with Yoh.
