Our client is going to be building out a new datacenter. They are on a tight schedule and have already began to build out systems on existing infrastructure in the existing sites. The positions will be out of San Francisco with a possibility of traveling to Fairfield which will not be a lot. The contractor position could be anywhere from 3-6 months. This will be a continuing project so there could be a need to extend further. The role of the OS contractors will be to build/provision new Operating systems, assist in the application installation and on going support. Requirements: 3-5 years of UNIX System Administration Experience This is specific for a project to install, configure and support AIX Operating System. Knowledge of HMC's, NIM and VIO required. Strong scripting skills in 2+ of shell, PHP, Perl, Python (shell, Perl preferred). Preferred: The use and support of HACMP, NPIV and Partition Mobility Responsibilities: AIX System Administration Build out of AIX 6.1 OS on IBM P7 Hardware Working with Oracle DBA's and supporting other developers and application administrators.
