As a key member of ViaSat’s fast-paced Software Development team, you will use your talents to design, code, and unit test software for complex network products. You’ll be working with our engineers to define software requirements and create new capabilities, leveraging open-source and ViaSat-internal technologies to make secure, robust, high-capacity, and innovative products. You understand the importance of documentation and can accurately estimate the labor effort required to complete software tasks. Your aptitude to understand technology and how it all works together will be show cased as you participate in design reviews and status meetings. Experience/Skills Required Required: * 3+ years experience in software design and development, preferably C++, C#, or Java * Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Design Patterns, Object-Oriented Programming) and best practices * Experience with SNMP * Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in a fast paced environment * Ability to travel up to 10% * Bachelor’s of Science Degree (Engineering focus) * US Citizen Preferred: * Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering * Secret Clearance Our corporate headquarters in Carlsbad is just a hop and skip away from the beautiful Pacific Coast.
