Position : XML Firewall/Web Services Security Engineer Position Type : Remote Work Duration : 12 months contract Job Title: XML Firewall/Web Services Security Engineer Note: Must visit any of the client's Data Centers once in every quarter (Locations – Texas, Wisconsin, Atlanta) Responsibilities: 50% - Product and system design consulting 25% - Support and operations 20% - Infrastructure and process maintenance 5% - Mentor and train other associates in use of security technologies, compliance with security policies and standards and development of awareness materials Consulting: Provide insight into security needs and requirements for infrastructure deployments, product/application development teams. Aid in design of overall system and architectures. Provide documented security requirements to project leadership. Interpret and relay security standards. Support and Operations: This includes on-call based escalation for troubleshooting XML firewall related, operational issues. The engineer will support other teams in an active troubleshooting role to identify infrastructure challenges and propose solutions in real time. Infrastructure and Process Maintenance: This includes deployment of updates to XML firewall platforms, modification of existing and establishment of new standard operating procedures surrounding the XML firewall platforms. Mentoring and Training: This role is responsible for the production of the awareness materials and training on security technologies, policies, and standards. The training includes individual mentoring of associates in other departments or organizations and well as classroom based training of larger groups. Requirements: Expert understanding of web service components and WS-Security principals Moderate understanding of SOAP and REST protocols Moderate understanding of Transport Layer Security and Certificate management Ability to understand how to create/modify/troubleshoot WSDL's Skills: 1-2 years’ experience with XML firewall technology (Cisco ACE XML Gateway/Reactivity preferred) Education/experience: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Management Information Systems or Risk Management.
