Position Description: Specifically, Our Client is seeking a Sr. Level Java Developer to lead efforts in developing the Pioneer ACO Quality Tool (PAQT) tool currently operating as part of the Pioneer Affordable Care Organization (ACO) program. The Pioneer ACO model is an initiative designed to support organizations with experience operating as Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) or, in similar arrangements, providing more coordinated care to beneficiaries at a lower cost to Medicare. Under the ACO program, a Quality Tool was developed; this project will continue development, as well as Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services of the Pioneer ACO Quality Tool (PAQT) web-based application and software service that will be hosted within the Research, Demonstration and Information System (RDIS) Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. The PAQT application and software service is an essential instrument for collecting and reporting on clinical quality measure data for Accountable Care Organizations participating in the Pioneer ACO Model. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: The Sr. Java Developer: Plays a leadership role in assisting with the development of healthcare-related J2EE applications in support of the overall project. Analyzes organizational business needs in terms of Information Technology systems requirements. Confers within the organization with various Managers and staff to obtain information on limitations and capabilities of the existing system, as well as capabilities needed for IT requirements of the future. Evaluates factors such as: Number of the volume of users/departments serviced by Data Processing equipment Data formats Reporting formats required Volume of transactions Time requirements and cost constraints Need for security and database access restrictions to determine hardware configurations Analyzes information to determine, recommend and plan layout for type of computers and peripheral equipment, and/or modifications to existing equipment and system(s) that will provide capability for proposed project or workload, efficient operation and effective use of allotted space. Will monitor functioning of equipment to ensure that the system operates in conformance with specifications.
