Job Responsibilities: - The Network Engineer / Analyst will support the Enterprise Networking operational environment of a Federal customer. - The position will have responsibility for operational support, in-depth troubleshooting, while identifying and recommending proactive improvements and changes to the network infrastructure. - This environment consists of multiple distributed Large Office environments, Web Farm Hosting environments, and 3,000 WAN links to remote offices. - This position will participate in an "on call" rotation to provide support outside of normal working hours. - This position will work within an operational team to support the deployed solutions, work to deploy / upgrade / implement new technologies and solutions, and ensure the overall health of the network environment. Job Qualifications: - GSA Schedule Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline; OR equivalent combinations of the below listed minimums for education and experience with Government customer approval: - With a Master's degree, three years specialized experience is required. - With a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, six years of experience is required. - With ten years specialized experience, a degree is not required. - Incumbent must have or be eligible to obtain a Public Trust. - Strong technical troubleshooting and problem skills are essential. - Must have strong communication and organizational skills. - Incumbent should have the ability to work within a group and across organizational boundaries. - Must have experience working in large / enterprise environments. - Demonstrated experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls is required. - Demonstrated LAN and WAN troubleshooting and advanced configuration skills are required. - Experience with Cisco, SecuRemote, and/or Juniper VPN solutions is preferred. - Knowledge and experience with Juniper routing, firewalls, and VPNs is preferred. - Knowledge and experience with Cisco VOIP solutions is preferred. - CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification preferred.
