Sr Mobile Android Developer(Spring,Struts,Hibernate,XSL,XSD,Oracle),NY Brooklyn, NY Role: Senior Mobile Android Developer Assignment name: 311MOBILE Senior Mobile Android Developer Work Location: MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201 Scheduled Work Hours: Full Time - 9 to 6 - 40hrs/wk Assignment Start Date: 07/16/2012 We require Senior Android Developer with the following responsibilities: • Participate in development of mobile application design; • Collaborate with business analyst and mobile UX designer determine detailed tasks • Assist deploying Android application to the Google App Market • Work with other technical leads to determine the system integration design • Prepare documentation such as but not limited to: Technical Design, Run-Book, Security Accreditation, Application Setup and Deployment Instructions • Communicate risks and issues to project and technical management teams • Work with testing team to find and resolve defects • Must have clear understanding of differences between desktop/web development and mobile development • Must have experience using SOAP or REST webservices • Must have delivered at least 3 mobile applications • Must have strong experience in managing the constraints in mobile applications such as: optimizing speed and efficiency with storage, memory use, power management, battery usage, etc. The resource will be responsible for the following deliverables: • Application source code • Automated Unit test suite demonstrating that delivered source code meets functional and non-functional requirements, where applicable. • Documentation such as but not limited to: Technical Design, Run-Book, Security Accreditation, and Application Setup Instructions. MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: • A minimum of 8 years of experience development for large-scale enterprise java web applications including at least 3 years of native Android development; • Must have strong experience integrating native Android applications with facebook.com, twitter.com and other social networking platforms • Must be passionate and enthusiastic about Android development • Strong experience in Spring, Struts and Hibernate • Strong knowledge of XML Technologies (XML, XSL, XSD); • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL server or MySQL; • Strong Knowledge of application server such as WebLogic/JBoss/Tomcat and UNIX, and Linux; • Ability to produce technical documentation; • Strong experience working with HTML5, CSS3 and AJAX • Solid knowledge of mobile testing tools and techniques; • Experience with agile principals and methodologies • Must take initiative, be a decisive decision-maker and show confidence in decisions made; • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders; • Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources; • Must be able to take strategic direction from executive management and participate in strategic planning activities throughout the lifetime of the project; • Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance. • Must be able to provide documentation on their work. DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • A Bachelors or Masters degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is desired; • Native iOS development experience is a BIG plus • Experienced with formal SDLCs; SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS References should be provided from at least two former or current clients where the contractor has performed the same or similar work.
