Bristol based Avionics company is currently recruiting for a Research & Technology Engineer on a minimum 6 month contract basis to start immediately. You will be required to: * Write, update and maintain the Detailed functional Specification (DFS) regarding the collected needs related to IMA components and remote equipment * Update Functional Requirement Document (FRD). * Lead an interface analysis and a trade-off regarding pros and cons of the different eligible solutions. * Maintain a Verification & Validation Plan * Develop the software parts necessary for the demonstrator operation The candidate must be familiar with the avionic communication context (ATA-42) and its characteristics. At least 5 years' experience in the avionic industry, of which at least 3 years in R&T activities is required, preferably in electronics and/ or industrial computer. * Good knowledge of electronics and industrial computer (Windows/ UNIX, Std POSIX, Pick OS, C/ C++)
