MS Access 2007/10 VBA - Enhance existing database add GUI"s and Functionality
Customer Ordering Access Database with GUI forms needed. (Access 07) The database already exists but there are no GUI's. Tables are there but may need some additional fields added. DB Must be split so that more than one user can use it at once. The first screen would be a switch board with options A. Search/View B. Enter New Order C. OutStock Orders D. Admin Search/View Surname/Postcode or order number allow wildcards i) Add new Customer ii) Add new Order for this customer iii) Create New Order B. Enter New Order C- OutStock orders View/Edit or items not in stock for order D-Admin Add/Edit new product. The database should work well and deal with common user scenarios and user input validations eg input of blanks, nulls special characters – these sort of things should not break the code they should be handled correctly. I have a full spec to send to interested bidders. Time is flexible for +1/2 days but a working solution must be in draft version in 2-3 days from accepting bid Questions 1) Tell me will you use DAO or ADO. 2) Will you call queries from vba code or will you bind forms to queries. 3) Whichever methods you use for (2 &3) – how will you be dealing with multiple users of the database? Will users experience locks or waiting time?
