TEKsystems has a contract to hire opportunity for a Lead Automation QA Engineer in Phoenix. Candidates must be open contributors who work well with others in a collaborative environment. Selenium is the preferred tool of automated experience, but candidates with other automation experience will be considered. Lead QA Engineer What you will be doing: - Define and implement QA processes and best practices and own the overall QA strategy. - Mentor and train junior staff - Communicate product readiness, level of quality, and results to the project team and Manager. - Actively participate in understanding sprint plans and providing regular updates against milestones - Develop detailed test cases, test plans and test strategies - Deliver quality products by thoroughly testing throughout all phases of development life cycle (Functional testing, regression/integration testing, performance testing and security testing) using a combination of testing methods; develop and execute automated and some manual (black and white box) tests for each sprint - Balance between manual and automated testing to improve delivery efficiency and test coverage - Work with team to deliver on the QA automation strategy to help improve overall quality and test coverage - Work closely with software developers and product owner to ensure features/products achieve desired level of quality. Must haves: - Passion for quality, customer focus, flexibility and creativity in approaching test planning and execution. - Brings great analytic and troubleshooting skills as well as thrive in a dynamic work environment. - Knowledge of Java, JavaEE, Ajax and other internet technologies - Solid experience in Test Automation frameworks and tools required; plus experience with automation of API and Web Services - Solid QA competency in software engineering with experience in Agile methodologies - Test or Development experience in Mac & Unix environment - Good team collaboration and strong communication skills Join TEKsystems() and get your career on the fast track.
