Quality Engineer IV
Job Title: Quality Engineer IV Duties: *Quality Assurance Engineer - Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Resource will work as part of the Center of Excellence department under IT Operations Center along side with IT Problem Management. The main task for this individual is to analyze trending information from the Problem Management process and determine initatives for overall quality improvement and elimination of chronic problems in the IT environment. The individual is expected to facilitate improvement initiatives, manage efforts as mini- projects, and deliver an overall quality improvement process for the IT Operations Center. Responsibilities include: * Provides guidance and subject matter expertise to IT teams on QA methodologies and processes,educates them on their responsibilities/accountabilities for the purpose of achieving on-time and quality deliverables. * Makes recommendations and directs improvements to the software development life-cycle process. * Analyzes and identifies trends in IT performance metrics. * The needed skills and knowledge include SDLC, project management, quality management and improvement methodologies and standards such as TQM, Six Sigma and the Software Engineering Institute-Capability Maturity Model (SEI-CMM). * Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis, design and quality of technical solutions. * Defines specific initiatives aimed at improving services and maturing processes, based on the results of service and process evaluation. * Identifies continuous improvement opportunities within the organization for process improvement and initiate projects or programs accordingly * Analyzes return on investment, develop Service Improvement Plans and facilitate stakeholder discussions regarding funding decisions Monitors, evaluates, manages and executes audit processes to ensure compliance. * Performs service quality and process evaluations, regular benchmarking, audits, maturity assessments, and reviews for areas where Client process metrics are not reached, for issues that impact the delivery of Business Services * Establishes internal IT service quality control standards, policies and procedures. * Designs, monitors and analyzes performance metrics program for quality improvement initiatives. * Conducts audits and analyses findings to develop appropriate corrective action recommendations. * Provides training on established processes and policies * Coordinates and facilitates quality assurance activities across projects with project managers. Skills: *Quality Assurance Engineer - Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Bachelor's degree in related area (Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience* Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification Experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies - Manage projects from scope, requirements, resources, timeline, and variance perspectives Preferred: 3 - 10 years experience leading successful initiatives
