Our client is a well established water company who delivers a wide range of procurement and business solutions to major companies across the globe. Having won a number of large contracts within the water and utility sector my client is now actively looking for an Estimator. Responsibilities � Estimating lead in an integrated team in the preparation of a number of detailed estimates based on an outline design and scope � Identifying and scoping any temporary works requirements � Arranging civil subcontract packages for enquiry by others. (M&E scope will be dealt with by other members of the team) � Contributing to, and evaluating value engineering opportunities � Taking off quantities � Analysing subcontract returns and selecting the most cost effective price for inclusion in the estimate � Bottom up pricing those elements not subcontracted � Assembling the above into a detailed price bill within the clients outline structure � Preparation of a prelims bill � Contributing to the risk register � Ensuring that the complete estimate (including M&E) is assembled in a timely fashion Required Attributes � Competent user (2 yrs experience) of the estimating elements of Candy (Mandated Software Package) � Competent Excel User � Civils site management experience of groundworks, drainage and FRC Desirable Attributes � Familiarity / Experience of water and waste water treatment projects, and sewer flooding solutions � Experience of pricing competitive bids up to � 10 million Rate: � Negotiable depending on experience Duration: � 3 months initially (this contract could develop into a long term contract) Location: � Cheshire
