TEKsystems is looking for strong Network Performance Analyst to join our team. OVERVIEW: This team is responsible for providing network performance and capacity planning related services to the entire enterprise. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Ensure that the capacity and performance of the enterprise network meets business areas needs by analyzing and reporting on trending data to identify threshold violations, degradation, prolonged spikes, or other key network performance metrics. - Analyze networked applications at the protocol level to assess their performance and how they impact the infrastructure. - Ensure the network infrastructure is properly sized and tuned to provide the business areas with needed capacity and acceptable performance, as agreed upon within the business areas' Service Level Agreements (SLA). - Apply performance tuning experience as it relates to I/O, network/hardware, SQL, and Java specific processes. - Assist in creating and updating performance plans, bridging IT Infrastructure, application optimization, and provide strategic and tactical Business Requirements. - Provide infrastructure performance assessment including complete analysis of perceived performance problems and be able to quantify results. - Help project teams understand performance concepts and performance testing. - Participate in performance testing of networked applications to determine if they meet the performance requirements of the customer. - Analyze systems for system level performance tuning opportunities.
