Using your technical knowledge, experience and expertise, you'll make sure that's exactly what we deliver from our Build Practice - day in, day out. As well as ensuring all our applications run flawlessly, we'll expect you to work proactively to maximise service levels. This means troubleshooting, solving issues, building a far-reaching understanding of all Nationwide's products and services, and staying on top of industry advances. About you You'll bring a technical track record that covers HP Non-Stop (Tandem) programming experience, with skills that include TAL, TACL, COBOL and Tandem SQL. Knowledge of ACI's BASE24 Classic application or working knowledge of ATM, POS, Visa and LINK transaction processing systems will be beneficial. Experience in Tandem C++ would also be beneficial, but not essential. We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team and has the communication skills needed to build relationships across the Group. Added to all this, you'll be accurate, be able to estimate for work deliverables, have excellent problem solving skills and work well under pressure to deadlines. Mentoring and coaching of junior colleagues will also be a requirement. You may also be required to participate in the out of hours support rota for the system, with appropriate out of hour's payments available.
